Unusual cloud pattern - Avalon Beach, Sydney

As a huge storm passed over Avalon Beach in Sydney, many different cloud formations appeared. This shot was taken as the clouds were receding and the storm passed out to sea.

Port Macquarie Light House - Pacific Ocean

This is a very small but well kept lighthouse at Port Macquarie that seems to attract many tourists. I believe it is one of the highest points of Port Macquarie and overlooks a vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean.

The affect of heatwave in south eastern Australia on our native animals

I live in Australia and did not know that Kangaroos liked to swim!

Koala cooling off in the tub
It is rare that our native animals like to swim, but the heatwave that has hit south eastern New South Wales has lead the animals to water to cool off a little. The temperatures have been very high for a week or 2 in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide with daily temperatures in the high 30's and several days well over 40 degrees C in some areas.
